Famous for shielding knights’ feet over the years, the steel knightly sabatons became a popular piece of medieval armor in the late middle ages. Depicted in many historical manuscripts from that era, these sabatons were worn over the shoes firmly tied at the back, usually accompanied by a pair of spurs. Our reproduction has extra, carefully riveted plates for enhanced mobility, making it stand out from its existing counterparts. So next time you prepare your knightly ensemble, make sure to add these and stand out as a true mighty knight.
Handmade from sturdy yet lightweight 18 gauge mild steel, these fasten with a genuine leather strap and buckle at their side. An extra leather strap is riveted under the toe cap, which adds to the wearer’s ease. Each is measured at around 24cm in length with a maximum width of about 12.5cm.
