Native American Shaman Pouch with Fringes
This large medicine pouch was carried by the Native Americans, especially to hold items of special spiritual significance or containing medicinal properties. They could hold ammunition for loading firearms, herbs, stones, feathers, or other objects believed to possess healing or protective powers. It often carried items representing an individual’s connection such as a lock of hair, a small token connected to their ancestry or heritage, etc.
